A summer wedding at Lightfoot & Wolfville Vineyards

Over the weekend, I had the privilege of photographing M&A’s summer wedding at the stunning Lightfoot and Wolfville vineyards. It was one I won’t soon forget.

M&A were actually already married in India, but they chose Lightfoot and Wolfville as their preferred Canadian venue to celebrate with family and friends. As such, their day was less traditional but all the more beautiful. After A got hair and makeup done at BeLeaf Aveda Concept Salons & Spa, she and M got ready together in the gorgeous tidal loft suite, located on the top floor of the property with an abundance of natural light and stunning vineyard views. Then we meandered around the property taking photos with no shortage of gorgeous natural backdrops.

In keeping with typical, unpredictable Nova Scotia weather, it was decided that the safest location for the ceremony would be in the gallery in front of the large, stone fireplace. The ceremony, which is always my favourite part of the day to photograph, was authentic and emotional and I would be surprised if there was a dry eye in the crowd. M&A immediately hugged their wedding guests after the ceremony and spent the remainder of the evening with them, enjoying cocktails in the gallery and dinner in the exquisite wine barrel cellar - exactly what they wanted.

Kori and the team at Lightfoot and Wolfville kept the day running smoothly and effortlessly. Guests commented on how great the food was, how lovely the grounds were and how the day turned out so perfectly. It’s easy to see how much personalization and effort goes into every wedding at this gorgeous family owned and operated venue.

We celebrated all night long with DJ Ricardo Rodriguez playing all the greatest hits! He kept the dance floor going until the last song of the night!

If you are considering getting married at Lightfoot and Wolfville vineyards - don’t hesitate! And PS I’d love to be your photographer! ;)
